Class Collection
Inside everyone is an artist.
I'll teach you the real skills to make art that other people will call "good art." Tangible techniques, genuine confidence, and results you can take home — in a single class. You will leave feeling more capable at painting than you ever thought possible.
Our weekly Wednesday class held in the Ohio City studio — where it all began. A relaxed, welcoming creative experience inspired by influential artists and movements. Painting paired with conversation, history, and a warm room full of curious people.
Held at the Wandering Lantern children's bookstore in Lakewood — a magical backdrop for imaginative, joyful art-making. Creative play and process art for children ages 3+ and their caregivers. Messy, open-ended, and full of wonder.
Set inside CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights — good wine, good company, and a canvas to take home. A curated painting experience that blends creative expression with the ease of a Saturday evening out.

Painter · Video Artist · Former Journalist
CMC is a lifelong artist working across paint, video art, and mixed media. She brings decades of creative practice into every class — not as a lecture, but as a living conversation about what art is and what it can do for you.
As a former journalist, CMC brings deep knowledge of art history and storytelling into the room. Each class is woven with context — the artists who came before, the movements that shaped how we paint today, and why any of it matters to you right now.
Her approach is warm, supportive, and disarming. She has a gift for helping people out of their own heads and onto the canvas — and for making sure every single person leaves feeling like they've genuinely made something worth hanging.
Original Work
CMC accepts commissions for original paintings in her signature style — expressive, layered, and full of life. Whether you're looking for a piece to anchor a room, a meaningful gift, or something made especially for you, she'd love to create it.
Each commission begins with a conversation about what you're envisioning — size, subject, palette, and mood. From there, CMC works with you through the process to make sure the finished piece feels exactly right.

"Good art is only as good as the appreciation it receives — and here, you'll feel like a master."
The greatest artists in history weren't just talented — they were seen, celebrated, and mirrored back at their best. That's exactly what we create in every class at Ohio City Art House.
We believe the act of making art deserves genuine recognition. When your work is met with the kind of enthusiasm and attention it truly deserves, something shifts. You stand taller. You paint bolder. You leave knowing: yes, I made that — and it is something.

I had a WONDERFUL experience. Christina explained the history behind the artist in a simple, engaging way and created such a warm, friendly atmosphere where everyone could connect and feel comfortable. It was a class that flew by — the space itself was beautiful, and the canvas fit perfectly into a frame I bought. It's now hanging in my living room.
I loved my art class with Christina. She made the project really accessible and the smaller class size made it feel intimate. There were lots of small thoughtful touches to the evening that made it feel warm and special. I highly recommend it for a laid-back, fun creative experience.
Such a lovely experience! The space was incredibly peaceful, and Christina was so warm, welcoming, and friendly from the start. She guided us through every step, making the whole process feel easy and enjoyable. It was our first time, but we'll definitely be coming back.
My daughter and I had a great time. Memories were made, the family-friendly environment was perfect, and now I have new art hanging in my home.
